Skin Booster Injection

Some skin is not wrinkled so much as depleted — it looks dull under overhead light, foundation sits in it badly, and no amount of serum changes either. That is a dermal problem, and topical products cannot cross into the dermis in any meaningful quantity. Injecting the same class of ingredient directly solves the delivery problem.
The agents we use are hydrating and regenerative rather than volumising. They draw water into the upper dermis and, over several weeks, prompt the skin to lay down its own collagen. The point is quality of surface, not change of shape: if you want a different contour, this is not the treatment and we will say so.
A session takes about half an hour. After numbing cream, a fine needle or cannula places small deposits across the treatment area in a grid. You will see raised bumps immediately afterwards — that is the fluid, and it settles overnight in most people, over two days in some. Occasional pinpoint bruising is normal and covers easily.
Results build rather than appear. Patients usually notice better light reflection about a week after the second session, and the fullest effect around a month after the last one. Because the effect depends on your own collagen response, younger skin responds faster and older skin needs the extra session.
Maintenance is typically two sessions a year. We will tell you at the review whether you actually need them — for some patients a single annual top-up holds the result perfectly well.
