Radiofrequency Body Firming

Loose skin and excess fat are different problems that often arrive together, and treating one when you have the other is the most common reason a body course disappoints. Radiofrequency addresses laxity: it heats the dermis and the fibrous layer beneath it to a temperature that makes existing collagen contract and prompts new collagen to form.
The assessment matters here more than the machine. We pinch, lift and observe how the tissue behaves, because skin that snaps back is a good candidate and skin that has lost its elastic recoil entirely is not. Where laxity is severe, we will tell you that a surgical opinion is the honest answer rather than sell you six sessions that will make a marginal difference.
Treatment feels like a deep, moving warmth — most patients find it comfortable enough to read through. The applicator is worked over the area in overlapping passes while the surface temperature is monitored, holding the tissue at target for several minutes. There is no downtime; the skin looks flushed for an hour and then normal.
Sessions run weekly for six weeks. The visible tightening lags the treatment by several weeks because collagen remodelling is slow, so the best comparison photograph is taken about two months after the final session, not on the day.
For most patients this is a maintenance treatment rather than a one-off: a top-up session every two or three months holds the result. We schedule the review before we schedule the top-ups, so the decision is made on the photographs.
