Lucent Skin Clinic

Acne is not a series of spots; it is a cycle that keeps producing them. A treatment that only removes what is visible today will keep you coming back forever, so the programme is written against the cycle: reduce the oil, clear the blocked follicle, calm the inflammation, and only then work on the marks left behind.

The first visit is longer than the ones that follow. We look at where the lesions sit, how deep they are, and what your current routine is doing — a surprising number of breakouts are being maintained by a well-meaning eight-step regimen. We usually take products away before we add anything.

In-clinic work runs every one to two weeks. Extractions clear what is already blocked, a light chemical peel keeps the follicle open, and targeted intralesional treatment settles the deep, painful nodules that would otherwise scar. Where inflammation is widespread we add a course of light-based therapy that reduces the bacterial load without drying your face out.

Marks are treated last, and deliberately so. The red and brown shadows left by old lesions fade far more readily once new ones stop appearing, and treating them during an active phase wastes sessions. Once the skin is quiet, resurfacing or toning finishes the job.

Most patients see the number of new lesions drop by week four and a genuinely settled face somewhere between week eight and twelve. Scarring, if it is already there, is a separate conversation and a separate course — we will say so plainly rather than implying this programme will handle it.
